"Inviting our thoughts and feelings into awareness allows us to learn from them

rather than be driven by them."

Dr. Dan Siegel

I bring both personal and professional experience to my counseling practice.  I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

  • As a marriage partner for 38 years, a mother of 3, and a grandmother of 10, I have experienced the joys and heartaches of family relationships.  Family is wonderful, but let's be real:  it's not all bliss!

  • I love working with couples! I feel so privileged to see couples' relationships transform with the help of Gottman relationship tools.  Occasionally I facilitate Gottman Workshops for groups of couples. They are a lot of fun!

  • For couples that are wrestling with the decision to divorce or not, traditional couples counseling is not ideal. Discernment counseling has been developed specifically for divorce ambivalence.  Click here to read more about this service.

  • I have led support groups for female trauma survivors, and for women seeking support in dealing with sexual addiction in a loved one.  I stand as a witness of the amazing resilience of women, and I am awed by their strength as they rise up!

  • I am equally in awe of men that are working to be better partners, better fathers, better friends, and more at peace with themselves.

  • I had the privilege of working for 4 years with the Senior Victim Assistance Team of the Colorado Springs Police Department.  I had many sweet and poignant interactions men, women and couples over the age of 60, all of whom had been victims of crime, abuse or neglect.  I love high mileage people!
